MiniFirewall collects nothing about you. The record of what your Mac connects to is written only to your own Mac, is deleted automatically after 7 days, and you can erase all of it at any moment. Nothing is sold, nothing is shared, and there are no ads.

What does MiniFirewall record, and where does it go?
To show you what your Mac is talking to, MiniFirewall keeps a short local record of the connections your apps make and receive: which app, which website or address, the direction, and when. That record is written to storage belonging to the app on your own Mac. It is not uploaded, not backed up to us, and not readable by anyone but you.
It is deleted automatically after 7 days. You can also erase every trace of it immediately, at any time, from Settings inside the app. Erasing is real deletion, not hiding.
Does MiniFirewall have a server?
No. There is no MiniFirewall account to create, no MiniFirewall server to sign in to, and no address anywhere in the app belonging to us. This is not a promise you have to take on faith: the app is built entirely from Apple's own frameworks with no third party code of any kind, so there is no advertising software, no analytics software, and no other company's code inside it.
What does the app talk to Apple about?
Two things, both handled by Apple's own software rather than by us. The App Store delivers the app and its updates. Apple confirms that your subscription is active, so the app knows whether to protect you. We never see your Apple Account, your name, or your payment details; Apple does not give them to us.
We would rather say this plainly than claim the app speaks to nobody, which would not be true of any app bought from the App Store.
Do you sell or share my data?
No. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone, in any form, including anonymized or aggregated form. There is no exception to this and no partner arrangement behind it. Since nothing is ever collected, there is no store of data that could be sold even if we wanted to.
Are there ads?
None. No banners, no sponsored rows in any list, no promoted apps, and no advertising or tracking software inside the app.
What happens when I send a problem report?
Nothing is transmitted without you pressing send yourself. When you report a problem, MiniFirewall assembles the message on your Mac, shows you exactly what it contains including any logs, lets you remove the logs if you prefer, and then hands the whole thing to your own email program. You are the one who sends it, to us, from your own email account.
Is the list of known Apple services downloaded?
No. The catalog that lets MiniFirewall warn you before blocking something macOS depends on ships inside the app itself. It is never fetched, and it changes only when you install an app update. There are no downloaded block lists of any kind.
What does this website do?
This website counts visits using Google Analytics, and the contact page loads a form from Tally so you can write to us. Those are ordinary website services and they see only your visit to this site. The app does neither: it contains no analytics and no third party code at all. Nothing this website records is ever connected to anything you do inside MiniFirewall, because MiniFirewall sends us nothing.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which keeps ordinary server logs of requests in the normal way any web host does.
Children
MiniFirewall is a utility for your own Mac and is not directed at children. It collects nothing from anybody, of any age.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it, and the previous wording stops applying from that date. A change that would start collecting data would be described here in plain words, not buried.

MiniFirewall is a Mac app (macOS 13.0 or later, Apple Silicon and Intel) that shows every website and app your Mac is talking to, and blocks any of it with one click. It never interrupts you with pop-up questions: nothing is blocked until you say so. Your traffic stays on your Mac. Nothing is collected, nothing is sold, and there are no ads.
